A Vietnam Update from the Franks

Yes we got another update from the AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL family the Franks. Both boys are awake.. and look quite happy... And like they are going to cause Mommy big trouble, they are standing by themselves in the crib... Uh Oh!

Remembering part 2

Sophie is named after my father, Steven Allen Wolf. My father died July last year. 1 1/2 months before our referral. My father and I were really close, he never missed a soccer game, debate tournement, and he carried a atache case full of my awards! Sophie is so much like him, from her short little temper to her love of cheesecake (my dad made the best cheesecake), she even falls asleep sitting up like my Dad! With great love and respect david and I proudly name our daughter Sophia Allyn Gaynes

Daddy Update#2

David said that Sophie and Luke are doing much better today! They both ate (love that yogurt) and played, and by the looks of the picture they are playing ALOT!

Daddy update#1

David got the kids at 10 on Saturday morning. They were a little cranky at first, but he says they are adjusting fine and Daddy & Grandma are enjoying time with kids. Sophie apparenlty had way too much fun!

Well tomorrow Daddy and Grandma get to spend some well deserved bonding time with Luke & Sophie! So we'll get some excellent new photos! I wonder who's going to be in charge.... My money is on Sophie, but Luke's a real contender too...

Surprise...New pictures

Well I was really cranky going to work today, headache, tired.... Then I got an email from the Frank family. The Frank family is in Vietnam right now picking up Mikenzie (4months) & Mikayala, (2.5yrs). Now Mikayla happens to be at the Tam Binh orphanage. Guess who else is there? So I opend my email this morning and saw....

I don't know if they see each other much, but they seem to get along great. Sophie loves to feed Luke, but he doesn't always like to eat it. Oh and they get along fine until they want the same toy. Sophie's favorite word is Damme (spanish sp) or the English equivalent "MINE", and of course No.

While Sophie, Luke, Gabe & Lee wait to come home to their families, I just want to take a minute to tell people about those who are not here with us any more....
Laury Jay Gaynes- David's father died 5 years ago, unfortunatly I never got to meet him. Also I hear he was an amazing man, to help raise such a wonderful man (my husband!). David had a very close relationship with his father. He was a CPA (runs in the family Corey Gaynes,CPA (sounds similar). He loved his family alot, and they obviously love him. I think Luke has his smile, when Luke smiles he lights up the room, and from what I hear so did his Grandpa. Also Grandpa Laury has already passed on his love of Star Wars to Luke (hopefully you remember the C3Po picture). His grandchildren will know him very well from pictures and stories from Grandma Judy. Let's not forget that if it wasn't for Grandpa Laury (who is watching over the children now) and Grandma Judy's hard work and dedication to their family, David and I would not be able to adopt and raise our children. And it is with great love and respect that we name Lucas Jacob Gaynes after David's father Laury.

So my camera was working this trip so I have a TON of pictures... And with faces like these how could I resist snapping up a storm.... FYI they may look like they are getting big, but Sophie wears a 12 months and a size 3 shoe, Luke fits comfortable in 6 months and a size 2 shoe (but boy does he have good hair! (but they butchered SOphie's hair, I barely got in pig tails)

My Princess

My Poor Princess... At first she didn't want to come to me... But soon she was shoving her cracker in my mouth... My poor baby was sick almost my entire trip... She had a 102 and an ear infection, I was lucky enough to take her to the doctor, she weighs 20.15lbs. But after a few doses of antibiotics she was back to her old self...

Some pictures of the Little Prince.... And a prince he is!! Never wants to be put down, and try to get him to crawl, it's like I was punishing him!!! But he is So sweet , loves to laugh and giggle, give hugs & kisses. Thank heaven he is in PGN and will come home soon. Oh and boy does he like cantelope!
