I think it's pretty irresponsible and naive for one to believe that her own window is the only view available to the world outside.

- with love from the only Helene that counts. :-)

This is the rude Helene writning, not anyone you know from before.
I am sure you are sure what you are doing.
I came from Scandinavia where your blog is currently outraging the adoptive comunnity.
No social worker here would ever allow anyone to take on the task of creating attachment with 4 children at the same time.
Just the fact that you are leaving your son for 3 weeks is undigestable.
Read som books on attachment dear. A nurse, my god! Give these children a mother each, they are not any children, they are adopted! You seem completely unaware of the difference.
I am sorry, I cannot be anything but horrified, despite wonderful pictures tuly showing a great environment for a kid, one kid at the time.

Yes Corey, read SOM books already. Helene you can't even spell! The people in Scandinavia should focus more on yoodeling and skiing then making rude comments to wonderful people who open their hearts to orphans. Luke was visited 8 times while in Guatemala and he knows who his mother is. He is already attached to her. I am sure Corey is completely unaware of the difference between an adopted child and a biological child. Most of us adoptive mothers are so dumb that we can't make that distinction. Thank you oh great Helene for enlightening us! Have you ever thought that maybe having a family of adopted children who are close in age would benefit the children? They will have eachother in addition to wonderful parents. They will have similar experiences and can feel more secure and attached knowing that their siblings were adopted too. Frankly, you are undigestable. Go leave some nasty comment opn my blog and be brave enough to leave your e-mail.

I'd say to just go and crawl back in the hold you came out of Helene.
